What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Project C is celebrated for its exceptional, high-quality coffee, offering a choice of beans with detailed flavor profiles. However, some visitors have encountered unwelcoming staff and a lack of hospitality, making the service experience inconsistent. It's a prime spot for a quick, premium caffeine fix, but not for a leisurely sit-down.
"My son actually found this place before we even arrived in HK—I guess young people nowadays are very particular about their coffee! And he was right, this is truly rare high-quality coffee.
It's a grab-and-go spot with no seating; you just order through a small window, but don't let that fool you. The coffee game here is strong.
For my Iced Americano, they let me choose between three different beans. They even gave me a little card describing the flavor profile, and surprisingly, I could actually taste the notes exactly as written!
We also tried the Espresso and Filter coffee:
• Espresso: We had the Ethiopia (Nigussie Gemeda Mude). It was dialed in perfectly. High acidity with a beautiful tea-like finish.
• Filter: Also incredibly well dialed in with high clarity.
If you are looking for a quick, high-quality caffeine fix in Causeway Bay, this is the spot."

"Went in expecting a proper coffee experience and asked to drink in. Apparently, that means getting a 90 HKD specialty pour-over in a paper cup. Because nothing says “specialty coffee” like standing at the counter and sipping from takeaway packaging. The place feels like a glorified to-go counter with expensive equipment but none of the passion or hospitality you’d expect. The barista barely looked up, let alone engaged—it was as if they were allergic to conversation. Wouldn’t recommend at all, especially when there’s another shop just around the corner that actually understands good coffee, good service, and basic warmth."

"Had the espresso and filtered coffee. Espresso was from Ethiopia, Nigussie Gemeda Mude. Espresso well dial in. High acidity and tea like finished. Filter was also well dialed in for high clarity. No seating and coffee can be ordered through a window."

Service with a Smile? Navigating Customer Experience
It's important for potential visitors to manage their expectations regarding the service. Project C operates as a grab-and-go establishment, and the staff's demeanor might reflect a fast-paced, transactional environment rather than a leisurely cafe experience.
