Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Cherry Blossom Garden for its stunning visual appeal, especially the 'pink tunnel' effect and scenic waterfront views. However, many note that the garden can become extremely crowded, making it difficult to walk and take photos, particularly on weekends. The limited facilities and the temporary nature of the bloom are also points of consideration.

"HKIA Cherry blossom Garden
It is accessible by taking S1 bus at the MTR Station “A” Exit and get off at the first stop.
Alternatively by walking taking Exit “A” towards the Ngon Ping 360 Cable car terminal then straight ahead to the Chep Lap Kok South Road. Total distance about 1.5 Km. It is better to use bus because the road to road connections are not clear cut. Anyway during holidays the walking crowd can slow you down.
It has many cherry blossom trees in a large site with very scenic views such as seeing the Tung Chun Bay, Cable car running to the Ngon Ping Big Buddha.
The negative sides are that the trees are very close to each other with crowds of people
milling underneath the trees making it difficult to walk, not to mention taking pictures.
The expensive travelling expenses and the length of travel time used is about 3 hours, two ways.
It is still worth going as it has the largest concentration of Cherry Blossom trees in a scenic open environment. Pick a non-Holiday to go.

"Great effort by the authorities with a total of about 80 to 100 cherry blossom/Sakura trees…there is a basic toilet and across the road, there is a shop in the gasoline stand for water and basic snacks. Still a bit chaotic so not a great fit for people with young kids in baby cars but absolutely a true hit in the area. I hope they can spend some money to make the surroundings more picnic-able with grass lawn to sit down, some more clean toilets and a shop nearby with basic snacks and drinks."

"Yesterday (9 Feb) afternoon, went to HKIA Cherry Blossom Garden at Tung Chung. About 15 min. walk, you will get there.

Despite weekdays, the path going through Cherry blossoms were full of people with cameras, phones, selfie sticks, tripods (not advised to use in such narrow lane) and etc.

The Cherry blossoms were lovely, beautiful and in full bloom in the Garden. You will see blue sky, pink flowers, brown tree trunks and green grass.

However, for those 11 Cherry blossoms on the road to the Garden srarted to wither.

As a tremendous number of people are anticipated to the garden around weekends, you are advised to get there very early in the morning. The full bloom is expected to pass very fast, not later than next week."
