"Cheung Chau Ferry point Number 5, Central

Bun Festival-Cheung Chau,N.T.
This is an annual week long festival,April 7th to 16th May 2024.
Activities includes Children’s Float parade and the competition of snatching of
Buns competition from a tower of buns. A very prominent festival of HK.
Annually, people flock in to see and participate in this event at an outlying island of HK.
The competition of bun snatching was at 1130 to 12.45 am on 16th May.
As a result, at 1000 am ,on 15th May large crowd was already gathering at the Cheung Chau Ferry point causing long queue for boarding the Ferry.
The ferry schedule was every half hour with two types of vehicles, ordinary large vessel
carrying 300 passengers and smaller hydrofoil type with about 100 passengers were used.
As there were worries of long waiting time to go and back to HK island,
I quitted after queuing for 30 minutes on May 15th.
Some photos of the waiting to board scenario are being shown here.
