Reviews Summary

Reviews for the Museo de Historia Natural de Quetzaltenango are mixed. While some appreciate its focus on local history and unique Mayan artifacts, others find it small and overpriced for international visitors, with a short duration of visit. Photography is also restricted. Reddit

"I guess it's not worth it

As a foreigner, I wouldn't visit it, we pay four times as much, namely 20 Quetzals, locals only pay 5. You're done after 15-20 minutes. There are technical things to see that everyone over 20 had at home and a few Mayan mini sculptures. You really shouldn't take pictures because then nobody would probably come. In a good museum, people come even if they see pictures beforehand. It's just typical Guatemala we are living wallets never again Guatemala."

"Very small and a lot of poorly mounted animals. As internationals you pay 20Q which was not worth it."
