Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Museo de Historia Natural USAC to be an interesting and educational experience, particularly for its diverse exhibits on Guatemalan biodiversity and its adjacent botanical garden. While some note that parts of the museum could benefit from updates and better maintenance, the low entry fee and the beauty of the garden make it a highly recommended visit for those seeking a connection with nature and history.
"Beautiful museum attached to the botanical gardens. Price for gringos is 20 Quetzals. Do them a favor and buy extra tickets to support the facility."

"We rang the doorbell at the entrance gate and were let in by a friendly security guard. We were asked to sign the guest book, but there was no fee to enter.
We went for the garden, but the museum part was surprisingly impressive! It felt strangely abandoned, but there was good information, a large insect collection, a great geology section, and a whole journey through the evolution of species. Also, the botanical garden was delightful!
We were there for a couple of hours and were only visitors for the majority of the time. I think the place deserves more attention and appreciation.
Upon leaving, I tried to offer to pay, but they wouldn't take any money. There was an explanation, but I didn't understand Spanish at the time.
Anyway, it was interesting, and I highly recommend it."

"Extranjero pagam 10Q. Bastante coisa diferente. Rochas, fósseis de animais como répteis, mamutes. Tudo com foto e alguns setores com boas explicações, mas outros precisam reimprimir as informações pois já está descolorido ou com letras muito pequenas para a distância. Para quem está na escola é uma ótima visita ainda mais se tiver alguém que explique. E depois pode ir no jardim botânico que é bem bonito para fotos e estar em contato com a natureza."
