"Great island 🏝 to stop when on the boat to explore and have a meal. The main village is on the top you have to spend a few a good time to up and down. Whoever just exploring the sea level land is very interesting to sea nice old buildings the fish men and the island people watching you watching them and their daily life. When you want to stop for a bit coffee ice cream all their and if hungry a lot of restaurants to choose from and of course the fish 🐠 is their specialty whoever they have Greek dishes if you don't like fish 🐠"

Exploring Manolas: The Heart of Thirassia
Wander without a map and discover hidden courtyards and local cats basking in the sun. The village offers a few small tavernas and cafes where you can enjoy a refreshing drink or a simple meal while soaking in the scenery. Unlike the bustling towns of Santorini, Manolas provides a sense of peace and quiet, making it an ideal spot for reflection and photography.
Key takeaway: Embrace the climb and the slow pace to fully appreciate the authentic charm of Manolas. It's a stark contrast to the more developed parts of Santorini and offers a genuine cultural experience.
The Volcanic Landscape and Hot Springs
Boat tours often include a stop at the hot springs, allowing visitors to jump off the boat and swim in the warm, mineral-rich waters. The contrast between the cool Aegean Sea and the warm springs is invigorating. While the water might not be crystal clear, the experience of swimming in a volcanic area is unforgettable.
Important note: The water can stain light-colored swimwear, so it's advisable to wear darker or older swimsuits. The experience is more about the unique natural phenomenon than pristine swimming conditions.
Culinary Delights: Fresh Seafood and Local Flavors
Beyond fish, you can savor traditional Greek dishes prepared with local ingredients. Think Greek salads bursting with flavor, delicious dips, and other regional specialties. The dining experience here is characterized by its simplicity, quality, and the genuine hospitality of the locals. It's a chance to taste Greece as it once was, away from the tourist traps.
Pro-tip: Don't hesitate to ask the taverna owners for their recommendations. They are often proud of their fresh ingredients and happy to guide you to the best dishes of the day.
