"The Thassos Ancient Theater is a fascinating historical site, currently under restoration but still very impressive to visit. The atmosphere is unique, and you can really imagine the performances that once took place here. Getting there by car can be a bit challenging, as the road is rough, unpaved, and rocky, but there is also a well-paved walking path from the town, which is a pleasant option. The effort to reach it is definitely rewarded with a memorable experience!"

"The amphitheater is currently undergoing reconstruction, and entry is free for now. Since I had a broken foot, we had to drive there, and the road wasn’t the easiest—there were moments when I felt a bit scared, though I think it’s possible to walk up in about 15 minutes. Parking at the top is limited due to construction equipment, with space for only about 4-5 cars. The main person in charge of the reconstruction told us that 20 years ago, there was already an attempt to renovate. Back then, there were many trees on the slopes which were uprooted to replace stone seats with metal ones. Now, all the metal is being replaced with marble. A ticket kiosk has been set up on one side, so I think entry will soon be paid. The view of the port and the waterfront from the amphitheater is beautiful."
