What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors are consistently impressed by the unique engineering of the submersible bridge, especially when it lowers for passing ships. The striking blue water of the Corinth Canal and the sheer scale of the waterway are also frequently praised. Some travelers note potential delays due to ship transits, which can lead to traffic congestion on the bridge.
"This is man stuff engineering and will take between 20mins and 1 hour depending on the tourist boat.
The bridge goes down for the tourist boat that seems to do hourly trips through the canal.
We were here on a very overcast day and I still loved it, the wife however was less impressed 😁"

"It is strange to see this place that must have once been full of people now almost deserted. In order to cross the canel, going over the bridge is much easier since the bridge closes for long times during the day. However, seeing the ships pass through the canal from here is really impressive. The water is super blue en the place is very peaceful. Visiting the canal I would recommend also passing by here!"

"I didn't even know it existed, and now that I found it I suggest to visit from here the isthmus for those who suffer of heights or for this that wants to stop a bit and enjoy the place, because there are 2 cafeterias (nothing fabulous, but they do the job) it is super interesting because this is an underwater bridge, when the ships approach, it goes underwater. It is made of iron and wooden bars as the floor. It is extremely narrow, it passes only one car per time. You are exactly at the the water level"
