"We were skeptical reading all the reviews regarding the road to get there. Luckily we didn't listen! Ok, it is a little off-road, but if you drive slowly and carefully, you can get to the top of the mountain without any issues with a standard car.
We were greeted by this typical Greek lady. She tries to speak a little English, very charming. This lady opened the doors to the church. Around the church, you can walk around and enjoy a fantastic view of several parts of the island. We enjoyed our drinks and ice cream on the terrace under the trees.
Follow the road signs of Skopos mountain. See photos.
Free entrance. Just have something to drink. They will be very grateful"

"Interesting historical place. If you go there by car DONT FOLLOW Google navigation. The road was not accessible for any type of vehicle due to rain damage. Instead going straight, turn left, just follow signs. About 1km before the monastery, see ruins of church with some wall paintings and beautiful views. You can also walk there about 4 - 5 km. Jusy before monastery there is a refreshment place. If you are fit you can hike (250m) from the gardens on the rock with 360° view. Free entrances."

"Another must-do hike on Zakynthos is the trail to the Skopiotissa Monastery. The entire route is beautiful, surrounded by nature, and once you reach the monastery, you can continue up to the mountain peak using a rope. From the top, you'll be rewarded with a stunning panoramic view over the whole island. It's definitely one of the places you have to see when visiting Zakynthos."
