What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Keros Beach is celebrated as a top-tier destination for wind sports, praised for its ideal conditions and vibrant community. However, the summer season can bring significant crowds due to extensive camping, which some visitors find detracts from the natural beauty and tranquility. While excellent for surfing, it may not be the best choice for those primarily seeking calm swimming waters.
"Local beach with great conditions for kite surfing, windsurfing and foiling. The water is shallow and very clean. Atmosphere is relaxed and laidback. There are two surf stations and two snack-bar outlets."
Lora Nikolova
"Super long beach with several kite surfing schools and beach bars. It can get quite windy so if you're not doing any wind sports, it mind not be the best place. Kids love it though."
Rumen Manev
"The beach is an amazing place. Only in winter though.
In summer it is destroyed with cheap "tourism". Unfortunately, just behind the beach, behind the dunes, there are hundreds of camping vans, trailers, the cheap free roaming "tourists" and businesses pretending a "surf life" and "van life". Destroying a public space.
The officially agricultural land, bordering with natural reserve area, is being exploited as mass camper spaces. With no infrastructure to support it. All along the bay the same. Where does their sewage go? Absolutely overcrowded, noisy, polluted. Even the sea water is visually dirty and polluted with garbage in the season, if compared to the crystal clear off season period. It is a shame that the local authorities allow this to happen."
