What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Methoni Beach is praised for its beautiful sandy shores, crystal-clear shallow waters ideal for families, and the stunning backdrop of the historic Methoni Castle. Visitors enjoy the organized beach zones with bars, though a minimum spend for sunbeds is common. It's considered a peaceful escape, perfect for relaxation and soaking in historical charm.
"Beautiful beach with several areas — around 3 or 4 different zones with umbrellas and sunbeds, each connected to its own bar. We were in one of them. We ordered two Aperol Spritz — and had a very tasty sandwich with prosciutto and pesto. The small cocktail for kids wasn’t good — it was basically flavored milk with crushed ice. The beach itself is really nice. We didn’t like that the sunbeds were not cleaned after previous guests. But the sunbeds are free if you order for at least 8 euros. We came in the afternoon. There’s a lot of parking right next to the beach. There is a shower and a changing room."

"Methoni is a cute little place far from the tourist masses and the noise. It is calm and quiet with a stunning castle and a sandy beach, hotel on the beach and a few taverns with great homemade food. Not so much to do there but somehow one of the best memories from the whole Peloponnesian peninsula."
