What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Limni Beach's unique double-sided layout, crystal-clear bright green waters, and dramatic rock formations, calling it a 'petit paradis'. The natural shade and abundant fish for snorkeling are major draws. However, some find it overrated, note the lack of facilities, and dislike the noise from 'bar boats' in peak season.
"This beach is so pretty, nestled between two rocks it is very protected from wind and waves so ideal when the wind is blowing (which it does so often in Greece) waters are crystal bright green, this together with the looming rocks right above you make it truly unique. A great place to visit , oh and of you stay near the rocks you will get shade later on in the day…."

"A unique beach offering a breathtaking panorama. To reach it, you can enjoy a short scenic walk or take a boat ride."

"Not sure what all the fuzz is about.
Just a beach like any other in the area, but with the occasional added noise pollution in summer afternoons provided by such a thing as a ‘bar boat’, which is basically just an mc talking over a tape pounding the finer selection of guilty pleasures of the past three decades. Must be fun if you’re young and drunk, but I’ld prefer it if they’ld either keep the beats in Ipsos and whatever, or mix it properly live and provide a real dj spinning brasil or african house. You know, something actually worth listening to.
That being said, the beach is, ofcourse, fine, although rocky. It would seem that the water is quite similar as any of the next bays, and I suspect much of the aquatic life won’t limit itself to just this one bay area.
No facilities whatsoever there, so you’ll notice people’ve used the better part of the bushes around the area for toilet. Always a pleasant smell, if you’re into exposing your nostrils to the products of other people’s evacuated bowles.
My advise? Do go, but know there are lots of other beaches offering the same experience, and a lot more quiet."

Exploring the Liapades Beaches
These beaches are often characterized by their pebble shores and crystal-clear waters, making them ideal for swimming and snorkeling. The surrounding lush green hills provide a dramatic backdrop, creating a truly idyllic Greek island experience.
While some beaches like Liapades Beach itself are more accessible by road, many of the smaller coves, including Limni, are best reached by sea. This adds to their secluded and exclusive feel, making a boat trip a highly recommended way to explore the area.
The Unique Nature of Limni Beach
The beach is also renowned for its protected waters. Nestled between imposing rock formations, Limni Beach is shielded from strong winds and waves, making it an ideal spot for swimming and relaxation, especially on days when other beaches might be too rough. The water itself is a striking bright green, a testament to its clarity and the surrounding marine environment.
While the beach offers natural shade from the rocks later in the day, it's important to note the lack of extensive facilities. Visitors should come prepared with their own supplies, including water and snacks. The occasional visit from a 'canteen boat' offers a convenient way to grab a drink, but it's not a substitute for full amenities.
