What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Lia Beach is praised for its serene atmosphere and clear, calm waters, making it a great spot for swimming and snorkeling. While it offers a less crowded experience than other Mykonos beaches, visitors note that sunbeds are expensive and food/drinks can be overpriced. The coarse sand and potential for wind are also points to consider.
"beach okay. nothing special. rocky sand! sunbeds first row 110 euro! cheapest 70 euro."

"We went in late June/early July in the afternoon.
Loved this beach! Tiny pebble sand for most of it and great fine-grain sand by the water. Lots of paid sunbeds with shade, however, there is also a lot of space for just plopping a towel on the sand and enjoying the beach for free.
There small/medium sized stones you can lay on the corners of your towel to help with the wind (those stones are all over, just go find them). Even though the beach is on the south side of the island, there still is a decent amount of wind from the north. You feel the wind no matter where you are so don't think that getting a sunbed will block you from the wind. It might be better at the restaurant/beach bar but almost everywhere there will be wind.
The water felt amazing and there weren't huge waves. It seemed very calm relative to other beaches we visited. There are some small fish you can see while just treading water ~5m off the beach and we saw some people snorkeling further out but we don't know what they saw out there. There is a scuba shop there so perhaps there is some good diving nearby.
Lots of free parking, especially if you're on an ATV or motorcycle."

"Very nice beach, a bit windy but its comfy more than annoying.
Round stones in the sea, deffinitely best beach for snorchling we have visited here.
For the sunbed you can make a reservation and they cost
90 - 1 row
60 - 2 row
50 - 3 row - we went for this one
40 - 4 row
40….
The food and drinks are a bit overpriced too."

Navigating Lia Beach: Sunbeds vs. Free Space
If you do opt for sunbeds, booking in advance is a good idea, especially for groups. The pricing structure offers different tiers, with the further rows being more affordable.
