"The lake itself is not spectacular. There’s no trail or easy access to the water and it doesn’t look like it’s meant to be swim in. The beach on the other side however is beautiful. We drove about 2 hours to get there and I would not say that it was worth it. The roads to get to the lake were fine, but then once you’re there the roads get bad."

"Visited in June 2023 with my sister's to try and spot some flamingos. Unfortunately we didn't see any, and Google maps took us down some very questionable rural dirt roads that nearly took out our rental car!!! Would recommend turning back and driving on main roads if Google suggests going down a dirt track, trust your gut and let your GPS redirect you. Trust me there are legitimate roads to car parks (we went twice).
The lake is very calm, and great for serene pictures of the landscape of Corfu. We saw some fish jumping up through the water too. Beautiful coarse sand beach across the dunes to relax or swim in (especially cause it's a quiet area!)"
