"Venetian castle unique in its own nature, a true imposing masterpiece and the most important landmark of Koroni. Inside you will see the temple of Apollo ruins as well as the 7th century byzantine churches of Saint Sophia and the newest Saint Charalambos. There is also a beautiful convent called Moni Timiou Prodromou where you will find the friendliest nuns and a shop packed with amazing decoration stuff for your house.Remember that they accept only cash. The views from the castle are breathtaking. Don’t forget to stop by Resalto which is a memorial dedicated to the local heroes of the Greek Revolution who died after being betrayed in their effort to seize the castle which was occupied by the ottomans. Free Entrance."
