What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Gouves Beach is appreciated for its family-friendly sandy entry and pleasant atmosphere, with many visitors enjoying the beachfront dining and sunset views. However, some find the cost and monopolization of sunbeds by private operators to be a drawback, with limited free space available.
"Relevantly well maintained small sandy beach. 2 sunbeds with a parasol are 15 euro. Taking away one star, because there is a very small free zone and because of the dodgy pipe near the water."
Silvia Bozhidarova
"Either other reviews are written by local owners or people don't get it: beaches are being monopolized and fully covered of sunbeds so you pay for them, everywhere in Greece. It ruins beaches as they all get covered and there is no space for people to lay down on towels, only on the very shore. Capitalism at its worst. Business like these should be absolutely regulated."
Lucas Liendo
"Review only for the beach!
Is forbidden to put sunbed less 5 meters to the sea (Greek laws)
Look at the pictures…. 2 line of sunbeds / 3 line of sunbeds for a short part of the beach.
Price for 2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella is 18€/day at the end of august, no drink included, no towels or something else.
Only one good thing: nice entry into the sea, very good for children."
