What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the SNFCC for its stunning modern architecture, expansive and beautiful park, and the impressive National Library. It's seen as a vital cultural hub offering a refreshing escape from the city's historical sites. Some find it a bit far from the main tourist areas, and ticket prices for performances can be high.
"Very interesting, so glad we visited. The self-guided audio tour was very helpful. Excellent views. The staff at the reception desk were great.
The door set-up in the light house was confusing."
Tony Cartwright
"The Opera Hall is in a beautiful contemporary Architectural complex. It is particularly worth visiting the Lighthouse, the top floor with a fantastic panoramic view of the city.
Unfortunately, the production of La Boheme that we saw was nothing to rave about. The singing was good. But the staging was just too over the top crass."
David Gurtler
"The seats are quite comfortable, which makes a big difference for long performances. There’s a small screen in front of each seat for subtitles—it’s functional, but personally, I prefer when subtitles are projected on a screen next to the stage so you don’t have to look down all the time. Both the first and second balconies offer a good view and solid acoustics. If you're sitting in the stalls, I recommend rows 7 to 10—you’ll get a slightly elevated perspective of the stage, which improves the overall experience."
