What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Stanley Hotel is praised for its spectacular rooftop views of the Acropolis and its convenient location near the metro. While rooms are generally clean and modern, some guests have experienced noise issues and minor amenity concerns. Dining reviews are mixed, with the rooftop restaurant being a highlight for its ambiance.
"Best Views of the Acropolis from The Roof Top Sweet Basil Restaurant. The staff was generous to provide an upgrade with access to breakfast on the 9th floor giving a panaromic view of the city. The rooms and washrooms were cleaned daily along with towels. The hotel is in a decent and quiet location and you have the Metaxourgieo Metro Station just few steps away. Only downside is the size of the washroom rest everything else was perfect. The breakfast spread on the 9th floor is too good."

"The best thing about The Stanley Hotel is the restaurant / bar on the roof. Food and service are good, and the views, spectacular! I was there 3 times for short stays in a 2 week period. All my rooms were clean, but definitely nothing to write home about. They also don't provide Kleenex in the bathroom. There's a spectacular deli-bakery right around the corner. Good to know, because the breakfast buffet was also Meh. I'd stay again, for a decent price."

"I give this hotel 3 stars because my experience was mixed. The room was a very bad experience. There was a lot of noise coming from the balcony. The glass and window frame are not soundproof at all — I could hear everything outside, like I was sitting on a terrace facing the road, even though my room was 820. I’ve stayed in many hotels before and never had this issue.
The fridge was very old and extremely noisy. It’s inside the closet, and I could hear it all night, which was very annoying. The shampoo in the shower was diluted with water. When I pressed the bottle, only water came out. I called and asked for a proper shampoo with real texture, and they said okay, but no one ever came. The lamps above the bed are badly placed. You can’t sit up or lean properly in bed because you’ll hit your head on the lamp.
On the positive side, the breakfast buffet was really good. The food tasted great, there were many options, and the waiters were friendly and fast.
The executive lounge is very nice and useful, and I enjoyed it. The location is okay, about a 15–20 minute walk from important places and things to do.
The lobby staff were amazing, room service was good as well, and I also tried the massage service, which was very professional and enjoyable."
