What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Aliki Archaeological Site is praised for its unique combination of ancient history and beautiful beaches, offering a free and accessible experience. Visitors appreciate the chance to explore ruins and swim in clear waters. However, some reviewers note a lack of maintenance and preservation efforts at the historical site.
"Not huge or too much to see, but if you're nearby its worth a visit - as is anything 2500+ years old that's free.
The remains of a sanctuary to Apollo and 2 paleo-Christian basilicas are the main attractions, but the views from this wooded site are also beautiful.
You pass 2 beaches as you walk from the road (you must park on the main road and walk down). The beach on the right (packed and noisy) has a few restaurants and bars. Both beaches are lovely places ro swim."

"Worth visiting, as with any Antique Hellenic remains, however a bit disappointing was the neglect of this place by authorities. It seems that some additional excavations have begun and abandoned.
I hope this site will receive the attention and care it deserves."
Marijana Matejić-Spasić
"I used the beach only. There is caravan and tent camping on the beach. The water is crystal clear and the sand clean. Great beach for families with kids."
