Reviews Summary

Visitors generally find Agios Sostis and Cameo Island to be beautiful and enjoyable, particularly for their clear waters and the unique wooden bridge access. While some note the presence of seaweed and potential crowds, the family-friendly shallow waters and the opportunity for turtle spotting are frequently praised. Improvements in litter collection and general upkeep of the area would enhance the experience further.

"We liked it enough. the beach itself is not so wide but there is enough space. The beach is sandy. But when we went there were a lot of seaweed (?). It was the only beach (out of around 10 that we went) that we saw this. Not the biggest issue anyhow."

S. JYK

"It’s a long narrow sandy beach.
Rarely too busy that you won’t find a sun lounger and umbrella and an easy place to take the family. That means sun bathing, splashing, sand castles and access to snorkelling (the best is about 50m north of the beach near Glora Maris, look for 4 small buoys).
It’s not for the Instagram set so stay away if you just want to pose or Mum and Dad will bomb your photo. The weed on the beach is just a bit of broken grass in the shallows (which in a few places smells). The grass comes from the sea grass banks in the bay (the turtles food). Those are magical places to snorkel.
The only let down for me is the boats around Cameo which makes the best snorkelling off limits (unless you want to get hit by a boat).
Rubbish collection could be better. A few bins on the beach or clearing of the beach and path would make it better for humans and turtles (locals do clear the sun beds but the public bits of beach and path are often straddled with bits of litter).
The road and embankment are in desperate need of love.
All this said it’s the sea we were there for and we were happy to go here most days of our stay (we were based in a villa nearby).
Good beach no hassle but could do with more care."

David Miles

"Nice beach, shallow waters and fine sand.
The tavern is nice, you have the option to have free sunbeds on the grass as they charge for the ones on the sand.
Very close to Cameo Island where you can have a quick walk in the afternoon or evening."
