What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors are captivated by Golden Beach Karpaz's vast, soft sands and crystal-clear waters, often describing it as a wild, unspoiled paradise offering a profound sense of freedom. While the natural beauty is universally praised, many reviewers express disappointment with the amount of litter found on and around the beach, highlighting a need for greater environmental consciousness.
"This is not our type of the beach as we prefer small, sandy beaches, but we were delighted with it. It was amazing to visit it! The beach is long and all sandy. The sand is so soft and nice, we enjoyed a long walk along the sea. The beach is wild, pure nature, it is beautiful. It’s not crowded at all which is great. Besides us there was maybe 20-30 people. Comparing that to the size of the beach that’s nothing. We had a feeling that we are alone on the beach. It gives you some unusual feeling of freedom when you go there. The water was clear and hot, with medium waves. Umbrella is a must as there’s no natural shadow. We’ve seen places on the beach with turtles paths to the see. On the way to the beach we’ve met donkeys and goats on the road which was a super exciting experience for our kid. If you go there bring some fruits or vegetables as they will come to your car waiting to get something :). One thing made us sad and that’s a decent amount of garbage on and around the beach. I can’t understand that someone can just throw the garbage on such a beautiful beach. Also it’s strange that no one cares about cleaning that."

"We drove about 2.5 hours as this beach is promoted as being quiet and unspoilt. It was shocking to see bags and bags of rubbish throughout the area. There was some rubbish washed up but most was clearly just left there. There were also things like broken parasols just abandoned there."
Sam Roberts
"One of the island’s best beaches, a true gem of Cyprus’ natural beauty. Don’t forget to bring an umbrella, and please remember not to leave any litter behind. If you happen to encounter sea turtles, make sure not to disturb them :)"
