"Small local ski area. Sadly the weather wasnt really winterly when I was there and only the runs that had artificial snowmaking were skiable. So probably 60% of the ski area was open, only 3 ski lifts and, like 4 major ski runs were open. They even have with Westfalenhang also a sportier run, ideal for carving. Some of the other steeper runs sadly require natural snow.
I thought it was a bit sad looking with only white stripes on all green to ski on, but the low altitude and warm weather is not their fault. If you want to ski all the runs that require natural snow, be sure to check the forecast and go there spontaneously when there is enough snow.
Still I enjoyed skiing there, in the morning on a weekday I was the only guest there and had all the ski runs to myself. On weekends it is still pretty calm there, while Winterberg gets packed."
