"A hidden gem. The industrial museum is a mix of architectural and machine design from the early 1900's.

The photos and displays from Peter Behrend's designs is impressive.
A fascinating walk back in time.
Architectural designs from 1910 foreshadow 1960 building styles.

The outside displays on both sides of the museum grounds of heavy manufacturing machines are awesome.
I hope the museum can market the facilities to bring in more visitors.

Highly recommend this as a stop when visiting Oberhausen.

"Interesting exhibition on Peter Behrens. At the moment one floor is open to the public and has an exhibition on Behrens and his work. Some interesting artifacts but lots of interesting images. A visit takes maybe around 1 hour."

"Only enjoyable during a pandemic and a lot of free time. The exhibition in the basement is for hardcore-fans of the Ruhrpott (at least some nice pictures are shown). The exhibition about the artists who designed administrative buildings is as exciting as it sounds. Do better spend your money and time in the near CentrO-mall."
