"This museum is a must see. We spent a couple of hours wandering through the museum looking at the lovely exhibits. We came for The Passion Play exhibit and stayed for the remainder of Oberammergua’s woodworking history. Such an amazing town in the beauty of the German Alps. It was 5 euros per person and the restrooms are very clean!"

"Two adults visited here in the late afternoon on a Wednesday in early May and enjoyed ourselves. It cost 5€ each and we spent about 2 hours there. There is a great short film on the background and making of the 2022 Passion Play that gives an excellent overview of the play, the players and the town. It was available in German with English subtitles. The carved wood figures accompanying the film area are also amazing. The second floor has many carved wood exhibits from before 1900 until today and has many explanations in English also. This town museum is worth several hours of your time."

"This museum shows a lot of behind the scenes work relating to the Passion Play. There are also beautiful examples of woodcarving and works of art in paper done by local artists. There are exhibits from previous Passion Plays, such as clothing, props and even hair! Tip: if you show your Passion Play ticket, you get 50% off your museum entrance fee. The museum is on multiple floors so be careful going up and down the stairs. It is located in the centre of Oberammergau - a large blue building, you cannot fail to see it!"
