The tower's significance as an 'Attack on Titan' landmark adds a unique appeal. "A must see if you are in the area! The church itself is fantastic inside and out. But the tower is the main attraction. A few hundred steep steps to the top and you're treated with some of the best views I've had in Germany. You do have to pay 4€ per person to get to the viewing platform but it's so worth it (remember to bring cash!). As well as being an incredible experience for Attack on Titan fans, this was one of the highlights of my trip!"

"We came here all the way from Munich on Monday, 10 Nov 2025, specifically to see the view from the tower. Alas, it was apparently closed on that specific day—no explanation given!
I understand you need to do maintenance work sometimes (I only presume it was closed due to that, because the sign didn't say…), but why not update the Google Maps page?? If we'd seen on Google maps that it's closed, we would not have come from Munich (a 2 hour car ride…)
What I find extra annoying is that the sign says "thank you for your understanding". What understanding? There's no explanation, so I don't "understand" anything!"
