"very interesting history museum that includes the whole history of the city. there are limited translations for most exhibits, but they will have the gist of it translated into Dutch, English, French and Polish. it's free too, which is a huge plus. it's definitely worth a visit, even if it's not your thing you can check it out. especially for the cool dioramas (some shown below)."

"The Stadtmuseum is one of the nicest museums in Munster. It has an interesting permanent exhibition on multi levels connected by a winding staircase.
You get a good impression of the history of the city that was badly damaged in WW2.
The temporary exhibitions are worthwhile too"

"The Münster City Museum is worth a visit for at least a few reasons. Mainly because of the fact that it's the best way to learn about the history of the city and the whole Westphalia. The rooms and the tour route have been planned chronologically.
Moreover, the Museum is very modern. Audioguides are available in almost all rooms. In some, there're also special reconstructions (e.g. a colonial shop or a post-war cafe). That can be interesting not only for adult visitors, but for children as well.
In addition, the sightseeing is totally free. Thanks to this, without any costs, we're able to spend a free 2-3 hours in the city quite fruitfully."
