#saarbrücken #traveller #germany #deutschland ...

Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Ludwigskirche for its stunning Baroque architecture and the awe-inspiring altar fresco, often describing it as a peaceful and interesting place to visit. The church's historical significance, particularly its post-war restoration, adds to its appeal. While some note it's slightly off the main tourist path, the beauty and unique artistic elements make it a worthwhile destination.

"Beautiful church! Well worth the visit. When we arrived on a Monday evening there was a group of locals praying the rosary together, which only enhanced the experience."

Patricius Oenus

"Beautiful architecture and paintings. Peaceful and interesting to visit if touring. Beautiful church"

Simon Capstick

"Ludwigskirche, in English Saint Ludwig, is a 19th century neo-romanesque church that is not very popular with tourists because it is somewhat remote from the touristic center of Munich. Don't let that dissuade you from taking the subway a couple of stations from Marienplatz to Universität to see it. You will see the second largest above altar mural painting in the world. Another major attraction is a fantastic church organ with an incredible sound. I was lucky that someone was playing it during my visit."
