What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Monastery of Our Lady and Art Museum for its exceptional value and the unique combination of a historic monastery with a diverse art collection. The peaceful cloisters and the interesting exhibits are frequently highlighted, making it a worthwhile stop for cultural exploration. Some find the modern art less appealing, and a minor point of contention is the charge for water.
"This museum is very good value for money, with three floors with different themes and temporary exhibitions, also the basement with medieval objects. The cloisters are beautiful and the former chapel is huge, with a temporary installation."
Andrés Access
"The art museum is situated in an old monastery and still has the cloisters available to walk around. The art itself is in a 3 storey building attached to the monastery and covers medieval art as well as more modern art. The building is clean and staff are attentive and the setting is superb, with high ceilings and large windows. A lot of the modern art I didn't really appreciate but the setting was still wonderful. 8 euros entry fee and we spent about an hour in both the cloisters and gallery."
Marcus Hurley
"I am not a big fan of modern art, but I like the idea of art museum in a nunnery. The nunnery itself is beautiful. I find some art works beautiful too. But it can be worth going through the museum with a guide or an audio guide."
