Visitors rave about Spreewald's serene beauty and unique canal system, often comparing it to a German Giethoorn. The traditional boat tours and kayaking are highlights, offering a peaceful escape. While some find certain activities a bit pricey or overrated, the natural charm and local culture, including the famous pickles, are widely appreciated.
"I can say German Giethoorn. Spreewald means swamps in German. It is a UNESCO biosphere and inland delta for river Spree. A unique experience with boat. You can swim in the river. Boat trips ranging from 1 hr to 5 hrs available at very affodable price. You can rent paddle boats canoe rooms by river front etc., It can be reachable by regional bahn RE2/7 from Berlin by approximately 1.5 hrs journey. From bahnhof this place is reachable by walking."

"Amazing experience 😍
Fantastic nature, calm and just beautiful to be there paddling in your own little kayak.
Easily worth a 3-4 day stay to experience the most important areas.
If you want authentic Kahnfahrt, then visit Burg, Leide, Leipe og Lübbenau Spreewald.
A good go to kayak rental is in Lübbenau Spreewald at familien Richter.
Lots of good local German Biergartens with great food and service. Kräutermühle and il Fienile are especially good places to eat.
A good place for families to stay at a reasonable price is at FerienHotel Spreewald in the city Limberg."

"We visited this place with a group of friends during a hiking trip, but honestly, it felt a bit overrated. The hiking trail was more like flat ground, so not much of a challenge there. We also did a 3.5-hour boat tour, which cost €22 per person—not really worth it. The highlight, though, was the kayaking—€17 for 90 minutes and definitely the most enjoyable part of the day. Other than that, it felt like a pretty standard spot you could find around Berlin. It’s about an hour away from Hauptbahnhof by regional train (RE)."
