Visitors find the Lutherhaus a deeply significant historical site, especially for those interested in the Reformation and Martin Luther's life. The 'Literally Luther' exhibition is praised for offering personal insights, though some visitors have encountered closures due to renovations. The location is considered worth the journey, even from Berlin.

"The Luther House in Wittenberg is absolutely worth a stop if you’re interested in European history, the Reformation, Luther, Protestantism, or the impact of translating the Bible into common German. It was a great place to do research for my thriller novels.

Walking up and down the tower was a nice workout and gave me a real sense of the era. I also needed to see the spot where the 95 Theses were nailed to the door because of its dramatic impact on the shape of Europe. It was well worth taking the train from Berlin to visit and then heading back."

"Unfortunately the house-part was closed because of renovation!!:((( ( In Germany they renovate a lot of things in the high season!!!!) But there was another exhibition in the other part of the ex-monastery. The building is amazing and the exhibition is very interesting. I got a lot of new information about the group who worked with Luther they made me imagine how they translated the Bible. I can recommend if you are in Wittenberg!"
