"A well maintained castle ruins 5-10min walk uphill from the town. There will be a €3.50 adult and/or €2 child entrance fee. The ticket counter also sells booklets, snacks and provides a clean bathroom for use.
Overall the sightseeing and walk through the castle takes around 30 minutes to an hour. There are many view points and places to hang around.
Only wish they gave a little more detailed descriptions of the areas of the castle. It was fun exploring the rooms and corridors but I wish they were well lit, especially going up the stairs of the tower.
Obviously if it is your first time, do climb up the tower. It will be a few flights of stairs but the view is decent, overlooking the entire town and mountain range. You can even spot a little skyline view of Frankfurt. I do enjoy coming here, the grounds are spread out and nice for an afternoon stroll or walking the dog. Last admission to the castle is 4.30pm before they close at 5."
