"When the wind reached 20mph, they cancelled my sailing (which is fair enough, just about). The wind went down to 15mph and they again cancelled the sailing (I thought this was weak). But when the wind was only 10mph and still they cancelled the sailing,
I can only conclude that either they are pathetic sailors (in which case I don't want to be out with them) or that their boat is flimsy and fragile (in which case I don't want to be in the open sea in it). I'm sure that they wouldn't have used "adverse weather" as an excuse to cancel just because they didn't get enough customers to make a profit, would they?
They probably sail when there's plenty of passengers and the sea is dead calm, but otherwise don't waste your time with Halunder Jet (run by this company, ‘Helgoline’): I recommend that you instead use the main boat 'MS Helgoland' (run by a different company, ‘Cassen Eils’) from Cuxhaven.
But at least I found the customer service very efficient and quick – but this probably also suggests that they have very customers at this time of year, which sort of confirms my suspicions above."

"Trip to Helgoland was uneventful, trip back was cancelled due to weather conditions (which is understandable) but the replacement offered is poor at best, seeing as the MS Helgoland boat is full and no seats were reserved in advanced, which led to having tohaving to hunt for seating and resulting in sitting in the noisiest possible part of the boat, it feels, due to lack of alternative. What follows is a bus ride and a regional train ride which results in 2 additional hours of travel time. The ultimate irony is: I actually booked a premium class ticket to maybe get a better view during the trip back from the vacation. This is the exact opposite of "premium"."
