What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Travelers praise the Castle Road for its stunning scenery and rich historical experiences, particularly enjoying the autumn months. While the route offers a sensational journey, some cyclists caution about challenging and potentially dangerous sections requiring careful navigation. The sheer number of castles provides endless exploration opportunities.
"The 21st-century generation of dictators and prohibitors can't just close this tourist route to motorcycle tourists...
The Castle Road now has one more castle: on our restaurant grounds, see photo.
Greetings: EE May 2021"

"Cycling from Neckarsteinach to Weinsberg to the Rappenhof... a sensational experience in the bright sunshine of golden autumn!"
Dieter Hölle
"Cycle path signage between Bad Rappenau Grombach and Sinsheim Ehrstädt features a very dangerous steep section. For safety's sake, you should avoid going downhill, as a fall is almost guaranteed. Going uphill is only possible with a mountain bike and considerable effort. A simple detour around this section is easily possible for those familiar with the area. The route was likely planned on a computer without any practical testing."
