Reviews Summary
Visitors find the U-434 Submarine Museum a very interesting and worthwhile experience, offering a unique glimpse into actual submarine life. The guided tours are highly praised for their engaging guides and access to restricted areas, though some note the extra cost for the command center. The cramped nature of the submarine is a common observation but doesn't detract from the overall positive experience.
"Very interesting little museum. It's an actual submarine, so can be difficult to navigate as there's narrow steps and small hatches to deal with, but it's absolutely worth it.
If you've ever wanted to see an actual submarine up close, this one's for you! There's a little oaper guide to help you with information, but mostly it's just roaming through the one-way system to explore all the nooks and crannies.
More than worth a visit, and the extended opening hours are great for an evening activity as well."

"Great tour, we were also lucky enough to have had the amazing Adrian as our guide. He combined a lot of interesting information about the submarine and its crew with some humour of his own, which immediately created a good connection. I'd advise to take the tour since there aren't any information texts in the submarine and it also gives you access to the command center. Sadly the tour was only available in German, but even my non-German-speaking friend still loved listening to Adrian! So 5 Stars for Adrian! ;)"

"We got lucky and arrived just as a tour was about to begin. The tour guide explained details of the boat very entertaining. Especially for the kids, who could try out several things, such as steering and the board communication. With the tour you can enter the command center of the submarine. It’s one of the few museum subs, where you can freely enter more or k look es the whole ship."
