Reviews Summary

Visitors appreciate the monument and the surrounding park for its historical significance and peaceful atmosphere. Many acknowledge its complex past, from Nazi propaganda to a memorial for WWII soldiers, finding it a respectful place for remembrance.

"I really liked the monument and it is a shame that Germany destroyed many other similar monuments. Soldiers that defended Germany and Europe deserve respect. You are not forgotten. Heroes. 🔴⚪⚫"

Karles S

"This monument stands in tribute to the 76th Infantry Regiment that fought in World War One. As other reviewers have mentioned, it was raised by Nazi Germany as propaganda in the build up to war, but was saved from demolition after the Second World War after it was rededicated to all soldiers who died in the Second World War.

The monument features a concrete block. All around the block are relief sculptures of soldiers marching one after another almost as a futile gesture of endless wars."
