"Very ornate and fancy! Well maintained as well. Great for concerts as it has good acoustics. However, like most German public places, it has no air conditioning because Germans would rather melt then to pay for more electricity and comfort! So, not the place for wearing a three piece suit in the summer. Do be aware of the bus as it passes by the entry quite often."

"We say our so lovely town does not have an university, but Göttingen is a university. Its great Assembly Hall of 1837 due to King William IV of Hanover, so splendid an institute built in finest neo-Classical style."
