What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors appreciate the beautiful glassware and extensive Christmas decoration collection, finding the glassblowing demonstrations visually interesting. However, some feel the experience is over-commercialized with paid parking, restrooms, and potentially overpriced items, leading to a less friendly atmosphere than in previous years.
"Incredible wild-Range of Christmas Decorating goods! Glassware have been displayed on the first floor as the accent impression. Even though the Manufacturer has long been existing since war period, but in general people can easily find out that they are just products from massive reproduction in the most markets. I give it a good credit because it might satisfy many visitors from all over the world."

"Unfortunately not the same friendly experience as 12 years ago. Paid parking while you pay for the visit alrdy, which is 10 mins of video and 30 mins tour. Also paid toilets. Products overpriced. I would visit another place rather than this one. Seen way better tours which where less overcommercialized."

"a guided tour takes abou a half hour and is less interesting if you already know a little bit about glass (process). it costs you about 8 euro. The session to make a "self-made" piece of work is nothing more than a couple of blowing. For it, you pay extra 12 euro."

The Art of Glassblowing
It's important to note that the glassworks sources its raw glass material as pellets from third-party suppliers, rather than producing its own glass from scratch. This is a common practice in many modern glass production facilities, allowing for consistency and efficiency. The resulting pieces, whether decorative or functional, are a testament to the skill and dedication of the craftspeople involved. The sheer transformation of raw material into delicate art is captivating.
Navigating the Shopping Experience
However, it's worth noting that some reviews suggest that a portion of the products sold are not exclusively manufactured on-site but are rather resold items from other glass manufacturers. This can lead to a perception of being over-commercialized for some visitors. While the quality of the items is generally considered good, the pricing can be perceived as high by some, especially when combined with other paid services like parking and tours. It's a good idea to compare prices and be aware of what you're purchasing.
