What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Kletterwald Schwindelfrei offers a fun and adventurous outdoor climbing experience, particularly praised for its Bambini course suitable for young children and its natural forest setting. However, some visitors have reported issues with booking, cancellation policies, and inconsistent supervision during group events, leading to mixed experiences, especially for birthday parties.
"Very very bad experience with booking and cancellation..no consideration for customer with advanced full payments.. for a birthday party. When we tried calling them a day in advance, there is no one to contact for any last minute change of plans.. they give no refund nor any vouchers .. in anticipation of rains, parents did not want the children 7-8year olds to do this activity.. so I had to contact them for rescheduling.. but no one picks the calls and it goes on a recorded message.. no one to guide you what to do next.. no one checks on you why such a big party did not arrive?? They are not bothered after taking all the payment. After 2 days they confirm no reschedule or vouchers.. instead they suggested me to take compensation from parents whose kids they did Not want to send? I was shocked on their suggestions.. this is so rude… I have told all my friends and family to avoid going to such places ..
I also got feedback from some friends that the toilets were terrible"

"Great climbing park, even for the little ones. From 100cm the little ones can go on the Bambini parcour."

"We've been here with my 5-year-old because it's the only outdoor place I could find that offered sth for kids that age and size.
She was very happy. She loves climbing but normally does just freely climb every tree. So this was a new experience. There was always someone you could ask. Would definitely go there again."

The natural forest setting adds to the immersive experience, making you feel truly connected to the environment as you climb. It's an excellent opportunity for personal achievement and a memorable outdoor activity for individuals, couples, and families looking for an active day out.

Birthday Parties and Group Experiences: What to Expect
However, it's crucial to manage expectations regarding the 'guided' aspect of these parties. Some reviews indicate that while staff are present, they may not provide constant, hands-on supervision for every child, particularly for younger age groups. Parents might find themselves needing to actively assist their children on the courses, especially if the children are new to climbing. The value of add-on activities like treasure hunts has also been questioned by some, with suggestions that the cost might not always align with the perceived value.
Despite these potential drawbacks, the core experience of climbing in the forest is often a hit. The excitement of navigating the courses and the natural setting can make for a memorable celebration. For the best experience, it's recommended to book well in advance, clearly understand what is included in party packages, and perhaps consider booking a private instructor for more intensive supervision if needed.
