Reviews Summary

Visitors find the Egyptian Museum Bonn to be a charming, albeit small, collection of Egyptian artifacts. Its affordability and the quality of its gift shop are frequently praised, though the limited English explanations and the museum's compact size are noted drawbacks. It's considered a worthwhile stop for those in the vicinity looking for a quick cultural immersion.

"Museum would be a strong word to call this one room full of Egyptian artefacts, nevertheless nice to visit if you are in the neighborhood as it’s small and cheap to get in (2.5 euro per person) but don’t expect to be blown away. They have mostly jewelry, some statues and a couple of sarcophagus displayed. I appreciated quite a good gift store that offered items with higher quality than what I actually saw in Egypt. Toilets available in the building, paid by cash. Visited in July 2022."

"The museum is a bit tricky to find, but it's on the very right side of the university, and then on the first floor.

Very small room, and not a lot of collections other than accessories and few mummies.
The information are mostly in German, with a bit of English. The inside shop is nice for souvenirs.

Recommended for all groups (solo, couples, and family) although not sure how much the kids will have haha."

Fawzi Mourad
