Reviews Summary

Museum Pankow is praised for its free admission and the captivating 'Musica di Strada' exhibition, featuring live street organ demonstrations. Visitors appreciate the historical photos and the helpfulness of the guides, though some note the content is primarily in German. It's a small but impactful museum for those interested in local history and unique cultural exhibits.

""Musica di Strada" is an well-curated exhibition. You can learn not only about Italian immigrants history but also technical details about street organs(barrel organs). Above all, the guide was the most thoughtful person I’ve ever met in a museum. She explained the background and the charm of the exhibits, let me try the organ, and even took a photo of me. The exhibition has been extended until June 2026, and all the organs are played every Sunday at 11 a.m. It’s hard to believe that all of this is free, so I made a small donation in the box. Many thanks to the curator and the wonderful guide for this memorable journey through time."

"Great little museum tucked away in Prenzlauerberg. Well thought out displays with options for other languages. I loved seeing what the area looked like in the past. Toilets were free and very clean. Walking round the building it reminded me of old school buildings with the smell and architecture. A truly wonderful place."

"Be warned, this is completely in German, however it is still a fascinating collection of photos and archives showing how life was before and after the fall of the wall."
