Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Museum Berggruen Berlin for its exceptional collection of modern art, particularly the works of Picasso, Klee, and Matisse. The intimate setting and thoughtful curation are frequently highlighted as major strengths, offering a focused and enriching art experience. Some visitors note that the museum can get crowded, and wish for more extensive information on certain pieces.

"I have a soft spot for small museums with beautiful art collections and Bettina Berggruen Museum is certainly one of them. Located in a beautiful mansion a bit out of the way, it’s a beautiful area to visit and also gives you access to a very nice quaint garden after your visit.

There is a very carefully curated collection on display: Giacometti, Picasso, Klee, Cezanne, Brague, Matisse. If late 19th early 20th century art is to your liking, you are guaranteed to be happy here.

I certainly enjoy the museum every time I visit and recommend it to all of my friends."

Yevgen Gusovskyy

"You better take a look at the map/ layout in the beginning. Lots of smaller rooms and you might miss some rooms completely. The most extensive Klee collection that I have ever seen and I am confident that lot of artistic development was lost on my unprepared self. Picasso is much better known and therefore more approachable. Well worth the time and money. Take your time, sit down, enjoy."

Gottfried Kibelka

"Such a classy building with an even classier collection of artwork. It’s slightly overwhelming to walk amongst so many moving pieces all in one place. Due to Cov the museum has installed a one way system, implemented by rag tag team of OAP guards who make for the whole experience hilarious. Highly recommend going for the art and staying for the game of cat and mouse."
