What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Lichtenberg Station is primarily seen as a functional but often confusing and unkempt transit hub, with reviews highlighting issues with cleanliness, signage, and information availability. However, the surrounding area shines during winter with festive markets and unique historical sites, offering a more positive experience.
"Dirty and smelly small train station. There Mcdonalds here but there is no Deutsch Bahn information point! After our train delay we couldn’t get any information or change the tickets - to do it you have take train (10 minutes ride) to another station!"
Michał Sidorowicz
"The Lichtenberg train station is divided into two sections. If you arrive from the center of Berlin, there is very little information available when you get off the SBahn. You need to search for the information desk. It was at the far end of the platform from where the SBahn arrived, towards the back of the train, and located in a separate building from where most people left the platform. There is a gross toilet for 50 cents outside, station toilets were not clearly indicated, and it only took a credit card. Nobody speaks English, not even the person who attended me at the information desk, and some people working at the station were rude, one man bordering on hostile. Best if you can avoid this station and leave from a better starting point."

"Basic station. No escalators from U Bahn station."
