What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Reviews for the Radisson Collection Berlin are mixed, with guests praising its excellent central location and lively lobby atmosphere, often enhanced by a nightly DJ. However, some travelers have experienced issues with service efficiency, particularly with self-check-in, and inconsistent room amenities. While the breakfast is generally well-regarded, a few guests noted a decline in quality.
"I stayed at this hotel recently and was very disappointed with the overall experience. The self check-in system is slow and inefficient, and the staff—although young—seemed uninterested, lacking both compassion and willingness to help. I arrived just in time for an important meeting, yet the check-in process took far too long.
When I finally reached my room, I discovered that it had not been cleaned at all. I returned to the customer care desk, where I was met not with an apology, but with the question of why I was upset, followed by a casual “we’ll just give you another room.” The replacement room added further frustration: the key cards did not work. After going back once more, I was told they should work, and only after insisting did the staff member reluctantly accompany me—where she realised I was correct. I was then asked to wait in the hallway while she returned to fix the issue. Throughout the entire process, there was no apology, no sense of urgency, and certainly no gesture of goodwill or compensation.
The premium room itself, once accessed, was spacious, clean, and had a balcony that allowed for good ventilation. Unfortunately, this was the only positive aspect of my stay. The breakfast, which used to be excellent at this hotel, has declined significantly in quality.
Overall, the lack of efficiency, professionalism, and hospitality made this stay extremely disappointing. I would not choose to stay at this hotel again"

"The ideal mix of quality and simplicity. Very well designed hotel, but feels not posh at all. Big rooms, tasty breakfast, friendly customers care service. Great atmosphere in the restaurant. Very well located near the zoo and park."

"Great vibe, DJ present every night in the lobby.
Staff polite and approachable.
Although the hotel is huge, you get cozy felling.
Nice decoration and it’s really cool you can self check in and check out.
Some little fine improvement needed in my opinion - especially for this price and reputation: rooms seem to lack some basic stuff, like a tea kettle (using the coffee maker for that gives a sorrow taste), little amenities (needle, slippers, bathrobe etc.), regular coffee and tea refills and a smart TV (we would like to you Youtube or Deezer during our stay).
Again, overall - GREAT EXPERIENCE!"
