What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden's stunning architecture and world-class acoustics, noting excellent sound and sightlines from every seat. The high caliber of opera, ballet, and concert performances is a major draw. However, some find parking and post-event exit logistics challenging, and a few have noted issues with service matching the ticket price for certain events.
"The building is well-maintained and adequately illuminated, contributing to an overall welcoming atmosphere.
The environment is characterized by its pristine and organized state.
The staff members consistently display a high level of amiability and a willingness to assist.
Regardless of one's seating location, the acoustics are consistently optimal, and the stage is clearly visible from all angles.
However, parking can be problematic. Many drivers occupy more than one space, and the waiting time to exit after an event is quite long."

"As a frequent visitor/ fan of the Stuttgart opera house/ the Stuttgart Ballet I had a high expectation on my visit to the Festspielhaus in Baden-Baden. Yes… the ballet show „ The sleeping beauty „ on 8. Oct. by John Neumeier and his Hamburg Ballett was excellent( not perfect because some dancers of the corps did make technical mistakes), but the commercial and staff services didn’t match the cost itself. The brochure is a combination of all shows during the whole John Neumeier Festival, which means that the visitors have to pay 10 Euro to buy irrelevant information beside the attended show. Even for the attended show itself the references are also insufficient. Only the dancers on 7. and 10. Okt. are listed in the brochure and the visitors on 8. like me (and a lot) tried to search online or asked the staffs but in vain. One young staff claimed that somewhere should be a program introduction but it was a lie. Another old lady staff also had no idea about the dancers for that day and tried to asked her chef. But her chef was busy talking to the celebrity guests in the lounge (only who held invitation cards could enter in) and said he would come to us later but in the end NOT! Well, finally I understand that here is not really a place for folks and ordinary ballet lovers who only pay the ticket price. I would rather stay in Stuttgart - at least the dancers will be published on the wall on the show time, no matter if the visitors buy the extra (but can be less informative) brochure or not."
