What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Sector 26 Batumi is praised for its exciting lineup of international DJs and live music, offering a vibrant nightlife experience with beautiful Black Sea views. However, many visitors report negative experiences with poor service, high drink prices, and a strict, often inconvenient, table reservation policy requiring a significant minimum spend, leading to dissatisfaction.
"The place itself was very cozy and nice but the service was horrible. We bought tickets for WhoMadeWho and were so excited until the moment we entered the club. We asked the bartender for menu but he said there was not any. The drinks were so expensive and when we sat around a table someone came and said that we couldn't sit there because we hadn't reserved a table (oh really?). So, they presume that people will come and stand for 6 hours or pay for the table more than 100gel. That's really nonsense. Overall, my expectations were more than that I'd experienced. Only the DJs are really good and that attracts people."

"I went on concert with my friends(40 GEL per ticket) we went inside, wanted to take table for four people,
first time one lady told us it’s reserved for someone else(there were no signs of reservations) and after about 10 minutes we asked where can we seat and they told us that we can’t seat cause each person has to WASTE at lease 100 GEL(400 total) otherwise we have to stand for almost 6 hours straight.
Beer price was 12 GEL. And other cocktails are too expensive as well.
After some time we checked tables again and none of them where taken.
Concert was scheduled on 11 and somehow before the main group came, there was DJ there for 3 hours!!!
Nowhere in Europe, they do not insist you to pay that much money. This is just sad, worst experience. Also microphone on the concert was glitching. Do not recommend"

"I'd give this place 0 stars if I could.
We came here to attend Reggaeon concert, which was advertised to start at 11pm.
Turned out the worst dj was playing until 2am..
It wouldn't be much of a problem if we could at least dance, but the music was SO TERRIBLE I could barely stand it, let alone dancing to it.
On top of this, we were not allowed to sit at the table unless we ordered ₾400 worth of food&drinks (meanwhile half of the tables were empty 🙂).
In short, we had to stand for over 3 hours, listen to horrible dj playing horrible tracks through poorly adjusted dynamics, and when I went to a manager to complain about all this her only answer was that they wouldn't return money (even though I haven't even said anything about it).
This is hands down the worst place I've ever been to. I wish I had checked the reviews before coming here.
Now I understand where that 3 starts come from."

The Sector 26 Batumi Experience: Beyond the Music
However, potential visitors should be aware of certain operational aspects that have drawn criticism. A recurring point of contention is the strict table reservation policy, which often comes with a high minimum spend (around 400 GEL). This policy has led to frustration, as many tables remain unoccupied yet unavailable to guests who are unwilling or unable to meet the spend requirement, forcing them to stand for extended periods. Furthermore, event start times can be significantly delayed, with opening DJs playing for hours before the main act, which can test the patience of attendees.
Despite these criticisms, the allure of top-tier musical talent and the unique coastal setting continue to draw crowds to Sector 26. The venue has hosted notable artists like John Newman and Willy William, underscoring its status as a premier entertainment destination in Batumi. For those planning a visit, it's crucial to research specific event details, understand the venue's policies regarding seating and spending, and be prepared for a late-night experience to fully appreciate what Sector 26 has to offer.
Navigating Sector 26 Batumi: Practicalities and Pitfalls
A significant point of feedback from visitors revolves around the table reservation system and the associated minimum spend. Many reviews highlight that to secure a seat, a substantial amount (around 400 GEL) must be spent, regardless of whether tables are occupied. This has led to situations where attendees are forced to stand for the entire duration of an event, even when empty tables are visible. This policy, coupled with high drink prices (e.g., 12 GEL for a beer), can make the overall experience costly.
Another aspect to be aware of is the scheduling of events. Main performances often commence several hours after the advertised start time, with opening DJs playing extended sets. While this can be an opportunity to enjoy different musical styles, it requires patience and a willingness to stay late. Despite these challenges, the venue continues to attract visitors with its lineup of international artists and its lively atmosphere. Researching the specific event and understanding these operational nuances will help manage expectations and enhance the overall enjoyment of a night at Sector 26 Batumi.
