"I had a great experience in Raiatea, French Polynesia. The people were friendly and gorgeous, and I got a very nice welcoming at the cruise ship dock. It was the starting point of my visit to this sacred island, which is considered the homeland of the ancient Polynesians. I did a bit of shopping and loved to see the locals having coffee near the dock. Raiatea is a beautiful place with green-carpeted mountains, a pristine lagoon and a rich cultural heritage. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and relaxing destination."

"We LOVE Raiatea! What an island and launching point for our French Polynesia adventure. We loved staying here for a couple days before catching our charter and enjoyed driving the island and doing some hiking. We loved the harbour area as well with the shops and restaurants and grocery store. We said this is a once in a lifetime trip but the people and amazing scenery will force us to come back within a couple years"
