What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Reviews for the Hôtel de Ville District are mixed, with many praising its architectural beauty and the festive atmosphere of its Christmas market. However, significant criticism is directed towards the administrative services, particularly for marriage bookings, citing complexity and unhelpful staff. Some also note a lack of family-friendly amenities in the immediate public spaces.
"If there is a ZERO start, I prefer to put ZERO. I went 3 times to book the date of marriage, Its still not ok. Each time she asked different thing. She made our life really complicated. 2nd time, she said that its ok to book the date without a complete document, 3rd time, when we come, she said its not ok. The covid context made us in trouble, and now she wants to give me. Disappointed !"

"A green city, but lacking picnic tables and benches in children's areas and not enough outdoor play equipment for our little ones.
Not everyone has a garden to enjoy the good weather. And the city certainly has the resources to create family-friendly spaces."
Raymond Muguet
"I agree with another opinion. Indeed, the number of places for the recreation centers is very limited. You have to apply from the first day of registration and even then! The staff at this department, gate 19, is not very welcoming. The person who received me last June, a blonde, rolled her eyes when I hesitated between two dates, and was unpleasant. As for the reception manager, it's the height of it! I saw a hysterical person in her. What is such a person doing at reception? Her colleagues behind the reception desk are rather nice and smiling. Since then, I have been going to the Flers Bourg annex town hall where the staff is competent and so welcoming."
