Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Grotte de Tourtoirac for its stunning mineral formations and remarkable accessibility, making it a unique and inclusive natural attraction. The availability of an English audio guide is highly recommended for a richer understanding of the cave's history and geology. While booking in advance is advised during peak times, the overall experience is described as well-run and highly enjoyable for all ages.

"We visited the caves in early August. We didn't have to wait too long and also didn't need to book. The cave itself is great - really interesting formations and fascinating history. It's certainly worth paying for the audio description in English (though I feel these should really be included FOC, though €1 isn't awful) as the guides generally only speak French. Good parking onside and the attraction is easy to find."

Simon Stunell

"This is a great visit. Absolutely beautiful cave system and easy access. Large enough caves for anyone who suffers in confined spaces. Audio support for most languages available. It is very modern with a lift used to access the caves. Staff very friendly. Recommend it for all of the family and especially disabled individuals who might not have a chance to visit caves due to access issues. This is one of the only ones in the world that has wheelchair access."

Mark Boghurst

"Brilliant! What a find, excellent guided tour with English audio for only €1 in addition to ticket. Shop had excellent selection of crystals for all budgets and I bought a book about the caves also available in multiple languages. Check tour times before you arrive or book prior. I didn't and the next tour was two hours later, but we went into Tourtoirac for lunch so everything worked out perfectly."
