You know… « I’m on the French Riviera, (which conjures images in your mind), will go to the riviera casino (had the same issue with needing a passport to enter (valid identification, an European driving licence should be adequate) I don’t like to carry my passport out and about with me.
Very nice lady on the bar, filled my empty water bottle for me.
By then I’m inside, (couple of days later), and I wish to use les toilettes. Ugh 🤮 the toilets were filthy. There are 2 toilets available, one is supposed to be wheelchair accessible, that is not well enough equipped for anyone in a wheelchair. No lids on the toilets, no soap in the dispensers, all sorts of yeuch in the toilet bowl. So I didn’t feel inclined to use them. On the way out, I told the girl behind the desk, that they needed attention, but she « no speak any English »

"Fabulous balcony bar with comfortable seating and marvellous views over the marina and beyond. The casino itself is quite small with a large restaurant and small bar inside. The staff were very welcoming and happy to sign us up with an access card on the presentation of passports, and a complimentary glass of Champagne. This will give us access to all Barriere casinos!"
