"Excellent place to visit. Worth taking the private tour as you seen more rooms . Well worth a visit. Not too expensive"

"I was very surprised by this chateau and pleasantly so. The castle is privately owned and doesn’t get the masses of visitors you get at some other chateaux but it’s just as important if not more so . It’s never been attacked or emptied of its original furniture. You can choose between a visite libre or a visite guidee and for €4 it’s well worth the extra to gain access to rooms such as the extraordinary library which you would not otherwise see. The guide was very personable and knowledgeable too but didn’t hurry us along. Visiting the basement rooms too you see the problems a building has when surrounded by a moat."
